Kurt Snibbe

"Infomaniac" is the perfect venue for Kurt Snibbe's experience as a researcher, reporter and artist. His brand of "informational entertainment" is the fruit of a multifaceted career and habits formed by a librarian mother who answered every question with, "Go look it up."

For more than 10 years Snibbe has been producing award winning informational graphics and illustrations for newspapers in Southern California, most recently at The Orange County Register where his work was awarded a half dozen times by the Society of Newspaper Design and given two Malofiej International Graphics Competition medals.

Simultaneously, Snibbe's comic "The Sportoon" has been running since 2002 on ESPN.com, where he also contributes as a columnist and staff artist for their commentary section.

Snibbe says his mission for "Infomaniac" is to provide readers with a tag team of great facts and humorous illustration.

Snibbe (pronounced snib-bee) lives in Dana Point, Calif. with his wife and two children.
