"Preteena" Ends May 18

Kansas City, MO  (04/22/2008)  Allison Barrows will end her Universal Press Syndicate comic strip, “Preteena,” on May 18, 2008. With a son about to enter high school and a daughter heading for college, Barrows will soon begin a new career as associate producer, Interactive Events and Seminars. “It was an opportunity that was too good to pass up, and it demands my undivided attention,” says Barrows, a Keene, N.H. resident.

“PreTeena,” with its theme of preadolescent angst, started syndicate with Universal Press in 2001. Previously-published strips will still be available online.
