Best Syndicated Comic Prize Goes to 'Doonesbury'

NEW YORK "Doonesbury" has won the 2008 Harvey Award for best syndicated comic.

Garry Trudeau's feature runs in about 1,400 newspapers via Universal Press Syndicate.

Winning for best online comic was "Perry Bible Fellowship" by Nicholas Gurewitch, and named best collection of reprinted comics was "The Complete Peanuts" from Fantagraphics Books.

United Media continues to syndicate reruns of the late Charles M. Schulz's "Peanuts" strip.
