Bonnie Tandy Leblang, MS, RD, CCP, is an award-winning food writer, an internationally syndicated columnist, author, media communication specialist, culinary spokesperson agent, consultant and professional speaker.

Leblang has been seen regularly on television, including appearances on “Good Morning America,” “CBS This Morning” and CNN. She’s frequently interviewed on radio and by newspaper and magazine editors, and profiled by media across the country.

Bonnie’s been a columnist in Fitness, Lamaze Family, Parents and House Beautiful magazines. In addition, her work has appeared in many publications including American Health, Cooks, Connecticut, Family Circle, Los Angeles Times Syndicate, McCall’s, Parade, TV Guide, Woman’s Day, Working Mother, Yankee and The New York Times. She’s currently a writer and researcher for Parade.

In 1999, she launched the world’s first daily syndicated food column with Universal Press Syndicate, “Express Lane Cooking®: A simple solution to what’s for dinner,” which can be read Monday through Friday in newspapers from Dubai (UAE) to Hartford (Conn.). Her original syndicated column, “Supermarket Sampler,” appears in about 100 newspapers nationwide. It’s been in syndication with Universal Press since 1987. She has co-authored numerous cookbooks, including “Rice,” “The Weekend Kitchen,” “Beans” and “Grains” (Harmony Books), “365 Great Cookies & Brownies” (Harper/Collins) and “Country Entertaining” (Running Press).

Her company FoodSpeak® connects culinary professionals with appropriate corporations, commodity groups, products and causes. MediaMentor is her professional development program specializing in maximizing media connections.

Bonnie has served on the board of directors of the International Association of Culinary Professionals, on the James Beard Foundation Awards board, and was the co-chair and a founder of the James Beard Journalism Awards Committee. She is a member of Toastmasters International and a past president of Connecticut’s Central Advanced Toastmasters club.

Ms. Leblang was recently nominated by the International Association of Culinary Professionals for an "Award of Excellence" as an Entrepreneuer/ Businessperson. The IACP Awards of Excellence are presented annually to honor members whose outstanding achievements and unending pursuit of excellence embody the highest standards of the association.

She and her two sons — Bryan and Eric — share her passion for food, cooking and life. They reside in Connecticut.
